How do I install my bedskirt panels?

To install bedskirt panels simply use the ties provided on each panel and tie onto your boxsprings.  If you do not have boxsprings where the ties can be used; then, drapery pins can be purchased from a local home decor store and used to secure the bedskirt.

How many bedskirt panels do I need to purchase?

For a dorm bed placed against a wall, you will need (1) end panel for the foot of the bed and (1) side panel for the long side of the bed that is not against the wall.  If your bed is not against a wall and all sides of the bed are exposed, you will need (1) end panel for the foot of the bed and (2) side panels for the long sides of the bed.  We call this our "Three Panel Bedskirt".

How do I install my basic or custom headboard with legs?

All of our basic and custom headboards with legs come with attachable legs that can adjust to different heights. Installation instructions and the necessary tools and hardware are included with our headboards.  We recommend using zip ties to secure the legs of the headboard to your dorm room bed posts.  This offers additional support.

How do I install my custom wall mounted headboard?

All of our custom wall mounted headboards have 3M velcro strips on the back of each headboard.  To install, remove the receiving velcro strip from the back of the headboard.  Place it on the wall where you want the headboard to go; then, take the headboard and place it on top of the velcro strip mounted to the wall.  If done properly, it will be very hard to remove the headboard from the receiving velcro strip.  ****Note:  We cannot assure that there will not be damage to the wall when the headboard is removed.  Depends on the finish of the wall surface where the headboard was applied.  

How long will it take to receive my products after I place my order?

All custom items (pillows, monogrammed pillows, bedskirts, custom headboards) will take 4-6 weeks during the months of May to September.  Any basic stocked items (stock pillows, basic headboards, basic bedding) will ship within 5-7 business days.  We don’t anticipate delays, but in the rare case that an item is backordered, we will notify you immediately!

Can Poplar House make products out of a fabric I already have?

Yes, you can ship us your fabric and we will use it to make any of our custom products.  Please contact us at regarding fabric type / width, quantity and customer's own material pricing.

Can you ship my products straight to my dorm room?

Poplar House cannot ship an order directly to a dorm room, but we can deliver orders to mailrooms at many colleges and universities. 

Please check with your school’s shipping policy and check the ship-to address and instructions carefully and if your school accepts packages, you can enter its delivery address in your order.

What form of payments do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  Poplar House charges applicable sales tax to all contiguous states in the United States.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Once an order has been placed, we can change or cancel your order before custom orders go into production.  Once the custom order is in production, orders cannot be changed or cancelled.  Orders for basic "in stock" items can be changed or cancelled before the product ships.  Please email us at or call us at 615.933.3090.

How do discount codes work?

Poplar House runs various sales and offers discount codes throughout the year.  Codes can be used at time of purchase only.  Our system does not allow us to enter coupon codes after a purchase has been made.  

Do you offer fabric swatches?

Yes, swatches can be ordered on our website for $1 per swatch.  Maximum of 10 swatches can be ordered each day.  Please note that swatches are not available for all fabrics.
